This blog is for current and former students of Dr. Susan Talley's Families and Social Policy class to continue the discussion started during class. You, your friends, and interested family members are welcome to post about current events and how it might affect families. The only rules are to be respectful of all perspectives and to think critically about the discussion.
The purpose of this blog is to connect current and former students of the Families and Social Policy Class together. Hopefully, this will be an opportunity to continue the discussions started on the discussion board during class. Please feel free to comment on current issues affecting families. Maybe one of your ideas will be picked up by another former student and we can begin to affect change in our own little world!
There are very few rules to the blog. Use the same level of critical thinking that you used for class and the same view of respect for others opinions. This site is for open discussion of current topics and policies that might affect families. All perspectives are welcome as long as you are respectful.
At this moment in time, anyone, anywhere is allowed to post. If things lose the level and tone of respect that we have already established in class, I'll have to restrict posts. This means that if you have family or friends who would like to participate in the discussion, they are VERY welcome!
